Inkling Tutoring
Intro
Exam season is stressful enough without the tutoring bill. Private tutors charge £50–100 an hour, and the good ones have waiting lists. Inkling gives your team's children the same 1-to-1 experience, with a lifelike AI tutor that leads the session, asks the questions and adapts to them - from £10 an hour, any time they need it.
How does it work?
Inkling is a personal AI tutor for GCSE, IGCSE and A-level students. Instead of typing at a chatbot, students have a spoken, face-to-face conversation with a tutor that teaches to their exact exam board and specification.
Like the best human tutors, Inkling doesn't hand over answers. It uses Socratic questioning to work out what a student really understands, challenges their thinking and guides them step by step.
Set-up takes two minutes: pick the subjects and exam board, and the student can start straight away. Parents get updates on what their child is working on, how they're progressing and where they need support.
Every family can try 30 minutes free, with no card needed.
Why is Inkling great for employers?
• Support working parents where it counts. Exams are one of the most stressful times for a family. Inkling takes the pressure off parents who can't afford private tutoring, or don't have the time to help with revision.
• A benefit people notice. Tutoring is one of the biggest out-of-pocket costs for families with teenagers. One term of weekly private tutoring costs £600-1,200; the same 12 hours on Inkling costs £132.
• Attract and retain parents. Inkling is a practical, family-focused benefit that can support your employee’s life outside of work.
• Fair for everyone. Most AI tools help the students who already know how to use them. Inkling leads the conversation, so every student gets the benefit - and the biggest gains are among lower- and middle-attaining students.
• No admin. Families sign up and manage their own account. Nothing to run, nothing to integrate.
Why is Inkling great for employees?
• Proven results. In a controlled study with 113 Year 11 students, regular Inkling users finished 1.25 grades higher at GCSE than non-users.
• Private tutoring, without the price tag. Plans start from £24 a month and we charge as little as £10 an hour, compared with £50-100 an hour for a private tutor.
• There when they need it. Available 24/7 - evenings, weekends and the night before the exam. No travel, no fixed weekly slot.
• Real understanding, not shortcuts. Inkling asks the questions and makes students explain their thinking, so they learn rather than copy answers.
• Built around their course. Aligned to their exam board, across subjects including English, History, Geography and Business.
• Parents stay in the loop. See progress across topics and where your child needs extra help.
• Safe by design. Built with teachers, with safeguarding in every session. GDPR compliant and Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
